Kiran Khalid, Founder & CEO

Few communications professionals have experienced the importance of storytelling from every vantage point. Kiran has.

Kiran built her reputation by going where others had not. Her on-air debut as a local news reporter in Texas made her the first Pakistani American broadcast journalist in U.S. television history. After 9/11, she was among the first American reporters on the ground in Pakistan. As a network producer and foreign correspondent, she covered famines, earthquakes, politics, and the economy at the highest levels of broadcast news, including Good Morning America and CNN.

That track record led to Shell selecting her to build its first film and video unit in the Americas. After transforming the “corporate video” machine into a storytelling engine for Shell’s creative visual team, Kiran was recruited to the public sector as Director of Communications for Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo. Hidalgo was a first-time officeholder leading the third-largest county in the United States, and Kiran stood up the office’s communications infrastructure.

In 2020, Kiran joined Edelman, where she served as the editorial lead on the energy team. She was the chief architect of Chevron’s newsroom, acting as its interim managing editor and training the internal team of writers.

Her experience counseling global brand teams, energy companies, and government agencies includes creating strategic messaging for Fortune 100 CEOs whose words move markets, media-training former cabinet secretaries, and launching brand architecture for startups and nonprofits.

Today, that same precision extends to corporate giants and founders alike. No random acts of marketing. No virtue signaling. Just authentic words supported by actions.
